raspberry butter board

Butter boards are the newest trend these days on social media... you can't get away its everywhere :) And in my opinion its genius! A beautiful way to serve bread and butter on your table and it looks amazing. You can make this sweet or savory or a mix of both, and I've tried a few options all of which turned out to be really good but my absolute favorite is the one I am sharing with you today. Not only does it taste out of this world good -even my husband who is the toughest critic loved it- but it looks Awesome! The colors are everything.. I tried to combine the fruit that have the same color which to no surprise taste delicious together. The mix of butter, sweet, and tart is heavenly.

Of course you can try other combinations, I will be trying out some savory ones, but for now do try this, you will love it.

* On a chopping board spread your room temperature butter.
*Sprinkle the sea salt on.
*In a mortar place 1/2 the raspberries you have and crush them until completely soft... add a couple tablespoons maple syrup to make it a bit runny. Spoon this mix on to the butter spread.
*Empty the ishta into a piping bag and cut the tip.. fill each raspberry with some ishta and randomly place them on the butter.
*Choose the baby basil leaves and scatter them on top. If you don't have any baby leaves chop some larger ones and scatter them.
*Scatter the pomegrante kernels and the chia seeds.
*Now drizzle the honey or maple syrup, garnish with some edible flowers and you're done. Toast some bread, spread and enjoy!
